Letter from Diamond Valley Basketball association.

16 Jun 2020 by Victoria Irwin

I received an email from Diamond Valley Basketball association last night. please see below.
As soon as we hear anything else we will let you know. Hopefully not much longer to wait!!

DVBA email;
We are very excited about the Victorian Governments recent announcement on the next phase of easing restrictions! This next phase will allow the return of DVBA domestic competitions after the school holidays, along with strict guidelines to ensure the safety of all members.

Basketball Victoria have publicly promoted the 13th of July as their target date for recommencing competitions. They are working persistently with other indoor State Sporting Organisations (SSO) and the State Government to achieve this. If the target date of 13th July (Term 3) is achieved; it will be our Junior Domestic teams that will be put to competition first.

The DVBA, Aligned Leisure and Nillumbik Council are super excited in the proposed return to sport and are working hand in hand to organise a quick and safe return to our competitions. However, it falls to the Nillumbik Council to decide on our official date of return as majority of our stadiums are council owned. The health and safety of our DVBA community is our number one priority.
