Basketball Victoria will be directed by governments and medical advice like everyone will, but they believe that the start of term three would be a fantastic natural break to begin community basketball again. BV have suggested anything from July 13th to July 20th as the resumption-of-play date. The school holidays would provide the time for facility managers and sporting clubs to get organised for the return and adjust their seasons to the new guidelines.

These dates are not confirmed as it is up to the Victorian Government to decide when sports competitions can resume. Basketball Victoria can plan for resuming senior and junior basketball, but it needs permission from the Victorian government to reopen stadiums and clearance to operate courts.

We would like to thank Nick Honey and commend him on his push to get our sport up and running again as soon as possible.

We will continue to keep you updated as we receive more information.
